TREATMENT OF CUTTLEFISH FOR PREPARATION OF DRIED CUTTLEFISH AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

PURPOSE: To mechanically perform the removal of guts of cuttlefish without separating the head from the trunk. ;CONSTITUTION: A cuttlefish body is supported with a supporting member in such a manner as to straightly extend the joint part of the trunk and the gut and bend the neck part to cross the extension line of the joint part. A cutting member guided with the supporting member is moved from the head side toward the tip of the trunk to pass through the joint part. The gut is separated by this process while keeping the connection of the head and the trunk. This treating apparatus is provided with a supporting member to support the trunk of the cuttlefish in a state to straightly extend the joint part of the trunk and the gut, a bending member to bend the neck part of the cuttlefish to cross the extension line of the joint part and a cutting member guided with the supporting member to move from the head side toward the tip of the trunk through the joint part and cut the joint parts of the neck, the trunk and the gut.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
