PURPOSE: To carry out anti-stain finishing with good light-fastness by treating a polyamide-contg. fiber material with a mixture of polyacrylic acid and a specified sulpho-contg. arom. formaldehyde condensation product. ;CONSTITUTION: A polyamide-contg. fiber material is treated with a treating soln. in which a polyacrylic acid (preferably, homopolymer of acrylic acid) and a sulpho-contg. arom. formadehyde condensation product such as those soluble at an acidic side and comprising dihydroxydiphenylsulphonic acid, phenol sulphonic acid, naphthalene sulphonic acid or a salt thereof, or treated with the both components separately, to provide a superior anti-stain finishing effect.
