PURPOSE: To obtain high rigidity so as to be able to cope with even the weak ground and improve fatigue resistance and corrosion resistance. ;CONSTITUTION: The main column part 5 of upper construction above a bridge seat 2 positioned above the water surface 10, and the main column extention part 13 of a skeleton part 3 under the bridge seat 2 are formed into continuous large bore pipe bodies. The large bore pipe body of the main column extention part 13 is ballast-adjustable by pumping and drainage, and a jacket 30 formed of legs 6 and braces 7 is fixedly connected around the large bore pipe body to form a large scale under water bridge pier structure. Guide piles are previously driven into specified positions, and the large scale submerged bridge pier structure is sunk while connecting skeleton part blocks, manufactured in the vertically divided state, by in-air welding.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
