PURPOSE: To easily insert and set a heat insulating device from a man-hole and also to obtain the excellent heat insulating effect. ;CONSTITUTION: The heat insulating device used at the time of hot-repairing a ceramic burner 18 in a hot stove of a blast furnace is composed of an openable parasol type heat insulating plate 1 capable of freely feeding the air into the inner part and a supporting mechanism 2 for supporting the parasol type heat insulating plate 1 so as to be freely opened/closed, inverted and moved.
