TOTAL AUTOMATION APPARATUS FOR GAS SUBSTITUTION OF CLOSED GRAIN BAG

PURPOSE: To protect grain from oxidation, a noxious insect, a mold, etc., by substituting the air in a bag in which grain is closely packed with an inert gas and to make the gas substitution work operable by an ordinary person. ;CONSTITUTION: This apparatus, i.e., a total automation apparatus for the gas substitution of a closed grain bag is composed of 6 units of a gas substitution unit 16, a gas-suctioning unit 24, a vertically openable bag-fixing unit 15, a rotary table unit 18, a content movement-controlling board 17 and a heat fusing unit 19. A hole is made directly on a bag and the gas substitution is carried out through the hole under ambient pressure. Accordingly, evacuation of gas is finished in a short time under the favor of the atmospheric pressure and the volume of the gas needed for the substitution is just that obtained by subtracting the volume of the content from the volume of the bag. This is economical. Since an arbitrary amount of the gas in the bag can be removed when the hole used for the substitution of the gas is closed, a storing space after the substitution of the gas is advantageously saved.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
