PURPOSE: To enable a reduction of irregularities in flow rate characteristics due to irregularities of air gap by adjusting air gap on a suction face to a fixed amount by a gap adjuster. ;CONSTITUTION: In a proportional solenoid valve for flow rate control which is provided with a flow rate control valve 27 which consists of a body 11 having an input port 13, output ports 12, 14 and a port 15 for drain and a spool 17 which is slidably provided in a valve cylinder (spool hole) 18 which connects each port 12, 13, 14, 15 and controls output flow rate by the slide amount and a solenoid 19 which drives the spool 17 by sliding a plunger 5 due to balance between attraction force generated in a core 3 by input current and spring force, a gap adjuster 25 which adjusts gap amount between the core 3 and the plunger 5 is provided between a valve element 17 and the plunger 5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
