MANUFACTURE OF FOAMED SILICONE RUBBER SHEET

PURPOSE: To obtain a foamed silicone rubber sheet having a smooth surface of the same degree as that molded by an extruder without breakage of a skin, bubbles or ruggedness and without abnormal foaming of a foamed part and variability of cells by using a roller such as a calender, etc., for molding. ;CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a foamed silicone rubber sheet comprises the steps of molding a compound of silicone rubber containing a foaming agent into a sheet, and then sequentially conducting pressure vulcanizing for vulcanizing under pressure and normal pressure vulcanizing for vulcanizing under a normal pressure, wherein the compound is molded by using a roll such as a calender, etc., to extrude for one sheet, and the pressure vulcanizing is conducted by padding release sheets 26 on both upper and lower surfaces of a rubber sheet 15 between upper and lower heating platens 21 and 22 of a press.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
