VIBRATION CONTROL STRUCTURE FOR FLEXIBLE STRUCTURE

PURPOSE: To provide vibration control structure enabling the vibration of a flexible structure such as a high-rise building and a high-rise tower to be suppressed simultaneously over several order modes. ;CONSTITUTION: Flexible structures 3, 4 are disposed parallelly, and the structures 3, 4 are mutually made correspond to a primary and a secondary vibration modes and connected in several places by actuators 5 so that the structures 3, 4 mutually exert force through the actuators 5 to mutually suppress the vibration of the other structure. Since vibration damping force acts upon the respective structures 3, 4 by mutual action between the structures 3, 4, there is no need to provide a weight for making inertial reaction act upon the respective structures 3, 4, and the vibration control of the structure with a long natural period can be coped with. Moreover, the primary and secondary vibration modes of the structures 3, 4 can be suppressed at the same time.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
