METHOD AND DEVICE FOR LOADING STRUT IN FLOATING-ROOF TANK

PURPOSE: To apply a strut when a part of a floating roof is distorted by the weight of a liquid jet device or the like in a floating-roof tank. ;CONSTITUTION: In a floating-roof tank provided with a floating roof 5 with a large number of support pipes 3 erected upward from the hole edges thereof and a plurality of detachable struts 1 holding the floating roof 5 at a fixed distance from the bottom, the unloaded strut 1 is loosely fitted to the support pipe 3 so that the lower end thereof is supported by the bottom. In this state, a lifting mechanism 2 of a loading device consisting of the lifting mechanism 2 and a fixing part 4 is mounted on the upper part of the strut 1, and the fixing part 4 is mounted on the support pipe 3. The fixing part 4 and the support pipe 3 are raised by actuating the lifting mechanism 2 until an insertion hole provided in the support pipe 3 is connected to a through hole 12 provided in the strut 1, and a pin 6 is inserted into the holes.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
