PRODUCTION OF ANTIBACTERIAL BAMBOO-DERIVED ACTIVATED CARBON AND PACK CONTAINING THE SAME AND USAGE OF THE SAME OR THE PACK CONTAINING THE SAME

摘要

PURPOSE: To provide a method of producing the activated carbon as a means enabling the period for preserving perishables, etc., and provide a proper usage of said activated carbon. ;CONSTITUTION: The thick-walled portion of bamboo stalk or the whole bamboo stalk containing the surface skin is cut into pieces of appropriate length and then ground by a grinder into bamboo powder of size of micro to several millimeter order; the powder is heated at ca.100-400°C and then subjected to steam jet at approx. 100-150°C to cause hydrothermal reaction, thus obtaining the objective antibacterial bamboo-derived activated carbon. This activated carbon is put into a pack consisting of an air-permeable material to obtain the other objective pack. For the usage of this pack, a necessary number of the packs are placed at a corrugated box; alternatively, the activated carbon is sprinkled over and attached to part or the whole of the cushioning sheet, cushioning material, interlayer paper and/or cover sheet set in such a corrugated box.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
