METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MONITORING OF DISPLAY SCREEN EVENT IN SCREEN-CORRESPONDING SOFTWARE APPLICATION TOOL

PURPOSE: To efficiently monitor a display screen event by monitoring the input and output of an application tool by an interface program, and displaying a prescribed event when it is generated in a prescribed area. CONSTITUTION: This computer aid software engineering(CASE) system is provided with a program editor 10, a program builder 12, a program debugger 14, a static analyzer 16, and a set of program developing tools including a tool management program 18 and a development management program 20. Also, this is provided with application tools 22 and 26 controlled by capsule seals 24 and 28 being interface programs. Then, the capsule seals 24 and 28 monitor the inputs and outputs of the application tools 22 and 26, and generate trigger when a prescribed application tool event is generated in the prescribed area of a display screen. This trigger indicates the generation of the application event in the prescribed area.
