SNATCHING TYPE MULTI-TASKING METHOD PROVIDED WITH COOPERATION TYPE TASK GROUP AND DATA PROCESSING SYSTEM

PURPOSE: To provide an operating system for which cooperation type or non- snatching type scheduling is combined with snatching type scheduling. ;CONSTITUTION: A task group is divided into the groups of mutually subordinate tasks (step 44). In the respective groups, the mutually related task groups not to be asynchronously executed are included. The scheduler of the operating system supplies the time slot of processor time to the respective groups (step 46). The task groups inside the group are scheduled in a cooperation type and utilize the time slot allocated to the group (step 48). Subordination among modules and the tasks is maintained so as not to generate a problem among the groups scheduled in a snatching type.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
