摘要

PURPOSE: To obtain a high Mn nonmagnetic steel in which stress corrosion cracking is not generated even being used in a corrosive environment because of its excellent stress corrosion cracking resistance even without executing surface coating and cathode corrosion protective covering and in which 0.2% proof stress is high, deterioration in toughness is small and the increase of magnetic permeability is slight because of its excellent mechanical properties even if cold working and stress relieving annealing treatment are executed. ;CONSTITUTION: This is a high Mn nonmagnetic steel having a compsn. contg. 0.40 to 0.65% C, 13.0 to 20.0% Mn, 0.1 to 1.5% Si, 0.01 to 3.0% Mo, 0.005 to 1.0% Al and 0.01 to 0.10% N, and in which the relationship between C and Mn satisfies 25%≤20×C%+Mn%≤29%, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. Moreover, Nb and V may be added for improving its 0.2% proof stress, and S, Ca and Zr may be added for improving its machinability.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
