SEDIMENT SUCK-OUT PREVENTING CIVIL ENGINEERING WORK SHEET

PURPOSE: To prevent the damage of a sheet and washing-out at the upper and lower faces of the sheet by fitting wire net to both faces of the sheet impermeable of permeable to water but impermeable to sediment. ;CONSTITUTION: Wire net 3 are fitted to both faces of an impermeable sheet 2, formed or rubber, vinyl chloride, or the like, through spokes 5, spoke through- material 6, and the like to form a sediment suck-out preventing civil work sheet 1. The wire net 3 is to have such height that sufficient water flowing gaps are formed between the upper face of the sheet 2 and the thrown-in sediment and between the lower face of the sheet 2 and a back-fill part. After laying the sheet 1 on the back-fill part, landfilling sediment is thrown in. Then the respective wire net 3 display cushioning effect to the riprap at the lower face of the sheet and to sediment thrown in from above so as to prevent the damage of the sheet 1. Also, since there are water flowing gaps at the upper and lower faces of the sheet 1, seawater flows in these gaps so as to prevent the generation of washing-out. The damage and rupture of the sheet can be thereby prevented while preventing the washing-out of landfilling sediment.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
