PURPOSE: To make it possible to the rail-earth voltage and the rail leak current of a DC electric railway comprising a single conducting section or a plurality of transforming stations and electric railcars through simulation. ;CONSTITUTION: A position where an electric railcar or a transforming station is present is represented by a node 1 to n+1. The rail-earth voltage Vk+1 at each node is determined from an equivalent circuit of equivalent ground conductances bk, bk+1. of right and left half-conducting sections, a conduction current Ik+1, and rail resistance (r). The rail leak current is then determined for the right and left half-conducting sections based on the rail-earth voltage.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
