PURPOSE: To provide a method so designed that green asparagus is sealedly packaged using a combination of a material for use in distribution and a specific plastic film to maintain the oxygen gas concentration inside the package at a state optimum for preserving the freshness of the green asparagus. ;CONSTITUTION: Green asparagus is packaged with a plastic film 2 and then housed in e.g. a plastic container 3.
