DECIDING METHOD FOR FAILURE IN PRIMARY SUBSTATION

PURPOSE:To ease a load of an operator by quickly deciding generation of fault and conducting smooth recovery work. CONSTITUTION:When an accident is generated in a primary substation, it is decided whether a circuit breaker trips or not (S1) and when no trip is found, the accident is judged as a substation fault which is not related in direct to the system (S2, S3). Next, it is decided whether the trip is generated in a single circuit breaker or in a plurality of circuit breakers (S4). When the trip occurs in a single circuit breaker, a fault location is made to an internal apparatus connected to the relevant circuit breaker or to external line (S5) and when trip is generated in a plurality of circuit breakers, an accident of apparatus and transmission line between both circuit breakers is decided for internal and external systems (S6). The accident or fault is assumed based on rules stored in the knowledge database.
