PURPOSE: To prevent the time delay from the input to the output of an analog quantity from increasing by converting the signal from a controlled system from analog to digital, performing arithmetic operation by a method that the programmable controller indicates, and generating an analog output. ;CONSTITUTION: The sequence process part 11 of a CPU unit 10 mounted on a programmable controller(PC) main body executes a sequence program stored in a sequence program memory 12. An analog signal processor for PC, e.g. an analog input/output unit 14, on the other hand, is provided to the PC main body detachably and the process part 15 of this analog input/output unit 14 administers the whole operation of the analog input/output unit 14. Then the conversion output of an A/D conversion part 17 which converts the analog input signal inputted from the controlled system 1b into a digital signal is operated according to an indication from the PC main body and the analog output based upon the arithmetic result is outputted by a D/A conversion part 19 and an analog output part 1a.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
