PURPOSE: To provide a method for producing a low silicon aluminum killed steel having high cleanliness without surface flaw. ;CONSTITUTION: At the time of melting the aluminum killed steel by executing the secondary refining to the molten steel tapped into a ladle from a steelmaking furnace while gas-stirring, a primary deoxidation is executed with an Si-Al alloy having 1.0-17 Si/Al wt. ratio, and the Si concn. in the molten steel is adjusted so as to become ≤0.03%. After lowering the oxygen concn. in the molten steel to ≤200ppm, Al is again added so that Sol.Al becomes 0.03-0.08%. By this method, the promotion of flocculation, combination and float-up of inclusions produced with the deoxidation is executed and the increase of Si causing the deterioration of the characteristics of the aluminum killed steel material can be prevented.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
