PURPOSE: To reduce the uneven heating in a furnace and carry out the homogeneous heating of steel materials by spraying a wall material containing SiO2, Al2O3, P2O3, Na2O and K2O on the inside wall of the furnace followed by vitrifying the sprayed material. ;CONSTITUTION: Furnace wall material 4 having high heat radiation rate is obtained by compounding ≥60% SiO3, 10-20% Al2O3, ≤5% P2O5, ≤10% Na2O and ≤10% K2O. The furnace wall material 4 is sprayed on low temperature parts 2, 3 of lower parts of the furnace wall of an upper one-way-igniting soaking pit 1 and then those parts are heated with a burner to vitrify the surface.
