PURPOSE: To provide a stepping-motor driving gear which can reduce the power consumption of a stepping motor. ;CONSTITUTION: A driving-speed operation means 10 which operates a driving speed from a signal processed by a stepping-motor driving gear 1 and which outputs a signal corresponding to a detected driving speed, a set-current operation means 9 which operates the set current of a motor current on the basis of the signal processed by the driving gear 1 and means 11 to 16 which multiply the set current value of the output of the set-current operation means 9 by a prescribed factor corresponding to the output signal of the driving-speed operation means 10 and which output a value obtained as a result as the set current of a stepping motor are installed. When the stepping motor 3 requires a high torque, the set current is used as a maximum value, and a maximum torque is generated. When the high torque is not required, the set current of the motor is reduced, and the power consumption of the motor is reduced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
