PURPOSE: To efficiently collect the dust in a small quantity of gas leaked from a wet-type dust collecting system by providing an atomizing nozzle for spraying water having a specific drip diameter near a spraying water nozzle of a venturi scrubber in the wet-type dust collector. ;CONSTITUTION: At the time of operating the wet-type dust collecting apparatus, a small quantity of gas is leaked from the wet-type dust collecting apparatus. The atomizing nozzle 12 for spraying water are arranged at the throat parts of the venturi scrubbers 2, 3 in the wet-type dust collecting device. The water supply of the atomizing nozzle 12 for spraying water is executed by a small capacity of circulating pump 14 in the separate system from a circulating pump 13 for the spray nozzle 11 of the venturi scrubber. The average drip diameter of the atomizing nozzle 12 for spraying water is made to be 80-120μm. The diameter of the dust particles is 0.6μm and the drips having the average particles diameter of 80-120μm, have good dust collecting efficiency. At the time of operating the wet-type dust collector, the water is sprayed from the atomizing nozzle 12 for spraying water and the dusts in the leaked gas are collected in the venturi scrubbers 2, 3.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
