PURPOSE: To provide the selective removing function of lead in addition to filtering function, deodorizing function and bactericidal function by supporting hydroxyapatite particles on a porous material and preventing the clogging of the pores of the porous material with hydroxyapatite particles. ;CONSTITUTION: The hydroxyapatite particles supported on a porous material remove harmful lead contained in drinking water selectively and the pores opened to the surface of the porous material remove the chlorine smell, mold smell and bacteria contained in drinking water without being clogged. An aqueous soln. of a hydroxyapatite component with substantially saturated or supersaturated conc. flows toward the porous material from the side of glass based on CaO and SiO2 to pass through the porous material to support hydroxyapatite particles grown up to a degree not cologging pores on the porous material. By preparing the aq. soln. as a dummy body fluid having ion concn. near to that of human blood plasma, a stable ion dissolved state in the aq. soln. is kept.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
