PURPOSE: To simplify a feeder circuit and to reduce cost by adopting a structure where the winding direction or the connection direction of one of the coils of three stators is opposite to that of the other two coils. ;CONSTITUTION: When a switching element T1 connected to a winding-start part U of a coil 11c of a first stator 11 continues to a switching element T4 connected to a winding-end part V of a coil 12c of a second stator 12, current flows to the coils 11c and 12c as shown in figure and an S pole of a rotor is attracted at the middle position between an N pole formed at the stator 11 and an N pole formed at the stator 12 and stops. Therefore, by allowing each switching to continue successively in a specific order and each coil to conduct successively, magnetic poles formed at the pole teeth of each stator move successively and attract and rotate the magnetic pole of the rotor, thus providing only three feeder circuits of this type of permanent magnet stepping motor without providing six feeder circuits as before and hence reducing cost.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
