PURPOSE:To facilitate the confirmation of the relation with a document itself and to enable the effective use of comment information in which operability is excellent by realizing a comment setting function which is capable of performing the input and edition of comment information by the printing image display on a screen. CONSTITUTION:Document information is inputted from an input means 102 and a comment processing function, etc., is set by a setting means 104. A control means 105 decides a various kinds of comment processing functions. when the decision result is document information, the document information and positional information is stored. Then, a comment synthesis means result is a comment processing function, it is stored as comment information and positional information is stored. Then, a comment synthesis means 107 calls the document information of the document information storage means 103, the comment information of a comment information storage means 106 and positional information by the control output of the comment edition control means 105 and synthesizes the comment information and positional information in the document information. A display control means 108 outputs synthetic information to the document screen of a display means 101.
