PURPOSE: To speedily and accurately inspect an expansion joint of a long rail. ;CONSTITUTION: An expansion joint inspection device is composed of two measuring optical systems 5L and 5R mounted on a track inspection-measuring car, a border line synthesizing part, a VTR, a control part and an aboveground device arranged aboveground, and measures only an expansion joint by control of a control part while traveling, and synthesizes the border line image, and records an image signal and a traveling position data in the VTR, and analyzes these by the aboveground device, and judges the existence of abnormality of a tongue rail 31, and displays a displacement quantity of the tongue rail judged as abnormal and the position on a display unit.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
