PURPOSE: To maintain excellent precision control to a slow consuming machine speed and a load detection controller in a high consuming machine speed and to suppress a loss low in an operation method for adjustable hydrostatic pump. CONSTITUTION: A movement speed of a consuming machine 3 is set as a target value, and in relation to the target value, a pressure difference and an opening width of a throttle part 4 are controlled in combination. In addition, a predetermined pressure difference and a predetermined opening width are related to each other automatically, so that excellent precision control is accomplished if a movement speed is low while a low loss is accomplished if a movement speed is high.
