PURPOSE:To obtain chrysanthemum seedlings for setting suitable for mechanical transplantation by arranging at regular intervals many pot-like seedling chambers each provided with an extruding hole at the bottom in a flexible seedling frame, putting culture soil in each chamber, followed by herbaceous cutting for each seedling to effect rooting. CONSTITUTION:Many pot-like seedling chambers 3 each provided with an extruding hole 2 at the bottom are arranged at regular intervals in a flexible seedling frame 1 and a herbaceous cutting is made in each of the chambers 3. After seedlings 6 are moderately rooted, an extruding rod is inserted on the bottom side into the chamber to extrude each of the seedlings 6 together with root pot developed therearound, and they are then set onto the field using e.g. a pot seedling transplanter.
