OIL IMPREGNATED FILM CAPACITOR AND FILM FOR OIL IMPREGNATED CAPACITOR

PURPOSE: To provide a highly reliable oil impregnated film capacitor and a film used for it. ;CONSTITUTION: A polypropylene film and an aluminium foil are wound up or a polypropylene film deposited with a metal film is wound up to form an element which is then impregnated with a capacitor oil thus producing an oil impregnated film capacitor. In such oil impregnated film capacitor, the polypropylene film is produced by thermally forming a polypropylene composition obtained by adding 500-1500ppm of antioxidant to a polypropylene resin having melt flow value of 1-10g/10min, isotactic value of 93% or above, chlorine content of 10ppm or less and ash content of 30ppm or less. Variation rate of polypropylene film is regulated to 3-15% in the thickness direction of the film and to 3% or less in the longitudinal and lateral directions of the film when the hazy value of surface irregularities is 10-60%, the degree of crystallization is 60-80% and the film is impregnated with a capacitor oil.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
