LIQUID FOR VIBRATION ISOLATION DEVICE OF LIQUID ENCAPSULATION TYPE

PURPOSE: To enhance the damping performance without enlarging the dynamic spring constant by selecting the encapsulated liquid, which is used in a vibration isolating device of liquid encapsulation type, among glycol alkyl ethers and it carbonic acid, boric acid, and silicone esters. ;CONSTITUTION: A vibration isolating device of liquid encapsulation type, for example an engine mount, is so structured that the first liquid chamber 13 bounded by chamber wall 11 made of highpolymer elastic substance and the second liquid chamber 17 bounded by chamber wall 15 in the form of diaphragm are provide between an upper and a lower retaining plate 7, 9 being partitioned by a partition plate 21 equipped with a throttle passage 19 which puts the two liquid chambers 13, 17 in communication. In these chambers 13, 17, liquid 23 is encapsulated. The encapsulation liquid 23 should be such as selected one or more among glycol alkyl ethers and its carbonic acid, boric acid, and silicone esters and should have a condensing point and seething point so that it does not condense or seethe within the range of service environment temp.
