TWO-DIMENSIONAL DOPPLER BLOOD FLOW IMAGE MEASURING SYSTEM

PURPOSE: To shorten the time for ultrasonic scanning for a part where there is no component subjected to a Doppler shift by blood flow in received echo signals and to improve a frame rate as a whole by providing this system with a circuit for discriminating the presence or absence of a blood flow signal and a circuit for controlling an ultrasonic beam direction. ;CONSTITUTION: This system is provided with the circuit 12 for discriminating the presence or absence of the blood flow signal in a post stage of a moving target detecting filter 6 and a speed calculating circuit 7 and is provided with the circuit 13 for detecting the ultrasonic beam direction on the output side thereof. The circuit 12 for discriminating the presence or absence of the blood flow signal is inputted with the signals from which the signals of low-frequency components are removed by the moving target detecting filter 6. The circuit controls whether the components subjected to the Doppler shift by the blood flow in the received echo signals exist on the ultrasonic beams or not. The circuit calculates an average blood flow velocity, average blood flow reflection intensity, instantaneous max. blood flow velocity, etc., simultaneously with the speed calculating circuit 7 and discriminates whether or not the values exceeding the threshold previously set by an operator for these values exist on the ultrasonic beams.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
