HANDRAIL AND SAFETY GRIP IN ONE FOR BATHROOM

PURPOSE: To add a safety grip function to a bathtub without occupying or complicating the bathtub. ;CONSTITUTION: A handrail 18 having a bar-shaped handrail main body section 20 and a pair of legs 22 and 24 which are supporting sections of the handrail main body section 20 and are bendingly extending from the ends of the handrail main body section 20 toward a bathroom wall surface 16 is attached to the bathroom wall surface 16. One leg 24 of the pair of legs is detachable from the wall surface 16 and the handrail main body section 20 is rotatable in a plane which perpendicularly crosses the wall surface 16 and/or in a plane which is parallel to the wall surface 16 by using the other leg 22 as a fulcrum. Further, the leg 24 is constructed as a safety grip. An attachment position of the whole handrail 18 to the wall surface 16 is decided so that the leg 24 as a safety grip is located in the bathtub 10 in a state where the handrail main body section 20 is rotated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
