PURPOSE: To provide a junction hand hole for electric cables that also acts as a buried foundation for installing an outdoor electric apparatus such as electric lighting, and a method for the installation thereof. ;CONSTITUTION: A buried foundation body 10 with a water filling port 11 is made of a container-like, transparent, non-corrosive, non-liquid leaking material, such as synthetic resin. The buried foundation body 10 is provided with a means 20 for mounting an outdoor electric apparatus and has an electric cable connection chamber 30 that constitutes a part of a junction hand hole for electric cables. An electric cable protective hole is formed at the bottom of the buried foundation body 10. The electric cable protective hole constitutes another part of the junction hand hole and protects feeder cables placed therein. This settles completely electrical problems, such as electrical insulation and durability, and meets the demands of designers with respect to buried foundation. That meets the safety and simplicity requirements of electrical work, and makes the junction hand hole for electric cables handy.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
