PURPOSE: To accurately detect remaining-toner amount at all times by preventing toner from sticking to the transparent wall of a storage chamber, in the remaining-toner amount detector of an electro-photographic device using the toner. ;CONSTITUTION: Toner in the storage chamber 59 is stirred to be supplied to a developing chamber from the storage chamber, the toner is carried to an image carrier 40 in the developing chamber, and the presence and absence of toner in the storage chamber 59 is optically detected by transmission type photosensors 90 and 91 via the transparent wall provided in the lower part in the storage chamber 59.
