PURPOSE:To provide a device for preventing the outflow of oil from an oil tank about a transformer, which is constituted into such a structure that rainwater is discharged in a general drainage canal and transformer oil to flow out automatically stays in the oil tank installed about the transformer. CONSTITUTION:An oil tank 5 for storing transformer oil to flow out about a transformer 1 is provided, a valve 8 jointed to a water piping 9 and a tube 10 of a water fire prevention equipment about the transformer 1 is installed in the middle of an auxiliary drainage system to reach from this tank 5 to a general drainage canal 6, such as a road side-ditch, and at the normal time, rainwater to stay in the tank 5 is drained in the general drainage canal 6 and when the water fire prevention equipment is worked, the canal 6 is automatically made to interrupt from the tank 5. As the title device is constituted so as to prevent the oil from the tank 5 and fire extinguishing water from flowing out to the canal 6, the normal rainwater is drained in the canal 6 without staying in the tank 5 installed about the transformer and when the water fire prevention equipment is workded, high-temperature oil to leak from the transformer 1 can be stored in the tank 5 without leaking outside of the tank 5.
