ACOUSTIC SYSTEM DESIGN/OPERATION SUPPORTING DEVICE AND ADAPTIVE CONTROL TYPE EQUALIZER

PURPOSE: To provide an adaptive control type equalizer capable of constituting a public address system capable of easily being installed in various kinds of places where acoustic characteristics are different, suppressing the generation of howling and performing normal operations and to provide the design/operation supporting device of an acoustic system using the adaptive control type equalizer. ;CONSTITUTION: This adaptive control type equalizer is provided with a signal measuring part 10 for measuring the frequency characteristics of input signals, a knowledge data base 11 for detecting the presence/absence of the generation of the howling by the frequency characteristics measured in the signal measuring part 10 and a filter parameter calculation part 9 for calculating a filter parameter for applying characteristics for suppressing the howling to a filter part 7 provided in a signal system when the generation of the howling is detected in the knowledge data base 11. Also, by constituting the respective elements by operation processors, the degree of freedom is given to the frequency characteristics set in the filter part 7 and the utilization as the design 7 operation supporting device of the acoustic system is enabled by the degree of freedom.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
