PURPOSE: To provide a congestion solving control method which autonomously restricts traffic by referring to connection attribute information if congestion is caused in an individual ATM exchange, and discarding or disconnecting some or all of connected cells according to the information. ;CONSTITUTION: This exchange is equipped with plural congestion detecting means 17 and 18 added to plural output transmission line storage parts 15 and 16, a switch control part 10 informed of congestion detection signals from the congestion detecting means 17 and 18 in parallel, a connection attribute table 9' connected to the switch control part 10 with the connection attribute information, and a routing table 12 connected to the switch control part 10 to store the connection attribute information and also connected to the ATM switch 11 to store routing information.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
