PURPOSE: To provide a water quality monitoring system based on the movement of an aquatic in terms of a purification plant, a sewage treatment plant, a waste water treatment equipment and a fishery. ;CONSTITUTION: In a monitoring water tank 13 wherein a water current of water to be inspected is formed, monitoring fishes 5 each having its own transmitter 1 using an electromagnetic system are discharged. A detection section 19 that detects the electromagnetic waves from respective transmitters is provided on a downstream section in the water current. Data of actions of the monitoring fishes 5 captured by the detection section 19 is processed via a control section 20 so that when an abnormality occurs in the living action pattern, the alarm is activated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
