摘要
PURPOSE: To accurately determine the three-dimensional position of a satellite without use of the electric wave refractive indices of an electric dissociation layer and atmospheric gas by receiving the electric wave from one overhead satellite at four observation points on the ground simultaneously. ;CONSTITUTION: It is assumed that the electric wave emitted from a satellite positioned at Point P at a certain time T is received simultaneously at four observation points at A, B, C, D on the ground. If P1 is set as representing the point determined through calculation from the electric wave transmitting time from P where the satellite exists to each observation point A, B, C, D, clock dislocation between observation points, the velocity of light, etc., Point P1 is not idential to P because the refraction of the electric wave due to the terrestrial atmospheric gas on the way of the wave transmission path is not taken into consideration and because assumption is made that the wave advances straight in all transmission paths. Therefore, the three-dimensional position of the satellite can be determined accurately through faithful following after the wave transmission path by arranging so that the points where the straight lines tying P1 to A, B, C, D intersect the interface between the wave straight advancing layer and the applicable electric dissociation layer lie at E, F, G, H.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
