PRODUCTION OF HIGH TOUGHNESS MARTENSITIC STAINLESS STEEL SHEET EXCELLENT IN WEAR RESISTANCE

摘要

PURPOSE: To easily improve wear resistance and toughness through hot rolling by hot rolling the stainless steel containing specific components in the specific condition and executing the specific cooling treatment. ;CONSTITUTION: This martensitic stainless steel containing a ferrite phase consists of, as principal components and by weight, ≤0.08% C, ≤1.0% Si, ≤1.0% Mn and 11.5-15.5% Cr. After the steel is heated in the region of ≤1150°C, the steel is subjected to hot rolling at a draft of ≥10% at ≤1000°C and to be finished in a temp. region of ≥800°C. Immediately after that, the steel is cooled to a temp. region of ≤1000°C at a colling speed of 5°C/sec. By this method, hardening treatment by reheating is eliminated, making a production process simple.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
