ONLINE RECOGNITION DEVICE PROVIDED WITH LEARNING FUNCTION

PURPOSE: To provide an online recognition device which shortens the recognition time of a handwritten character and improves a recognition rate. ;CONSTITUTION: The online recognition device is provided with an input part 12 inputting the handwritten character, a character dictionary 18 holding a character being the object of recognition and the feature amount, a character collation part 16 comparing the feature amount of the handwritten input character with that of the character in the character dictionary, extracting the characters whose feature amounts are within a prescribed range and generating a candidate list, a frequency dictionary classified for individual users 15 storing history data of a feature amount difference between the adopted frequency of the character inputted in the past and adopted by a user and a non-adopted character in the candidate list at the time of adoption, a candidate list correction part 17 rearranging and correcting the candidate character based on adopted frequency extracted from the frequency dictionary and history data of the feature amount difference on the respective characters of the candidate list and a display part 11 displaying the corrected candidate list.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
