COMPUTER STRUCTURE FOR EFFICIENTLY EXTRACTING AND TRANSMITTING ICON AND SYMBOL INFORMATION BETWEEN PROCESSING ELEMENT LEVELS IN PICTURE UNDERSTANDING DEVICE

PURPOSE: To provide a computer structure for speedily executing an algorithm for extracting an icon and symbol information by a parallel processing. ;CONSTITUTION: This structure is provided with an input/output port 100 and plural processing elements PEs and the respective processing elements PEs is provided with a memory, a first register 110 for holding data showing first transmitting state and the second transmitting state and the second register for holding data which is used at the time of transmitting data between the memory and the input/output port 110. The system is also provided with data buses F1 and F2 which are connected to the second register 120, the memory and the input/output port 100 for transmitting data from the memory to the input/output port 100, a data bus control means and a logical means which enables and disenables the respective processing elements PEs, decides the state of contents in the first register of the respective processing elements and controls the data bus control means in order to transmit corresponding data in the second register to the input/output port at the time of the transmitting state.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
