PDU CODING EXPANSION SYSTEM FOR OSI 6TH LAYER

摘要

PURPOSE: To save the memory capacity and to improve the processing performance by using the unit of processing not by the unit of PDU but by the unit of SDU of a session layer when PDU coding expansion processing is executed in an OSI 6-th layer. ;CONSTITUTION: When the unit of a protocol data (PDU) sent/received between a presentation layer and an application layer exceeds a length of the unit of a service data (SDU) sent/received at once on a session layer, the data element of PDU is coded in the unit of ID at the time of transmission and coding is interrupted each time a length of the obtained transfer text data reaches the length of the SDU, and transmission processing of the data whose coding is finished is repeated, then the PDU is sent in division, and at the time of reception, data are immediately expanded when the SDU is received and when the expansion is finished, receiving processing of a succeeding SDU is performed repetitively to compose and restore the sent PDU with division.
