PROPHYLACTIC AND REMEDY FOR ISCHEMIC PHENOMENON AND REPERFUSION INJURY CONTAINING LYS-PLASMINOGEN

PURPOSE: To obtain a preventive or therapeutic agent for ischemic events and reperfusion injury caused by cerebral apoplexy or surgical treatment comprising a protein or a lys-plasminogen precursor. CONSTITUTION: This pharmaceutical composition contains a protein having the effect of a lys-plasminogen such as plasmin or plasmin-forming protein or a lys-plasminogen precursor, for example, glu-plasminogen. The composition is useful for prevention and treatment of cerebral apoplexy, ischemic events, infraction, following or accompanying reperfusion injury or relating tissue disorder, hydrocephalus or microcirculation disorder. The dose of the lys- plasminogen is about 10-1,000 casein units per kg body weight.
