PURPOSE: To control an electroosmosis flow(EOF) for improving resolution under wider pH conditions by forming a capillary tube of fused silica coated on the inside surface with amphoteric ion. ;CONSTITUTION: The tube 12 of a capillary tube made of fused silica is provided on the inside surface 13 with an amphoteric ion coating 13a which is a kind of the amphoteric ion bonded to the inside surface of the tube 12 by covalent bond, adsorption or ionic bond. The specially preferable amphoteric ion coating 13a is phosphoryl cholin bonded covalently to silanol group on the capillary tube wall by siloxane bond. Negative charges are accumulated on the inside surface of the capillary tube by the coating with the amphoteric ion kind to form 'electric double layers'.
