SCHEMER UPDATE PROCESSING METHOD AND OBJECT ORIENTATED DATA BASE SYSTEM

PURPOSE: To automatically generate files in a certain order satisfying the conditions of class registration and to reduce the load of a schemer managing program at the time of schemer update processing. ;CONSTITUTION: This system is provided with a procedure group 41 composed of a pointer parameter F for preparing objects V'-Z' at a class H corresponding to classes V-Z of user data and instructing an object corresponding to the succeeding destination class of class structure to those objects, procedure E for controlling the storage and extraction of information required for schemer update processing, and procedure G for starting a procedure G provided for the object instructed by the pointer parameter F of the present object, and the procedure group is stored in a data base. First of all, the procedure G inside the procedure group 41 of the object V' corresponding to the most significant order of succeession is started through an OODBMS so that the files at the respective classes of user data can be generated successively from the high- order class of succeession by the chain starting of procedures G at the objects V'-Z'.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
