BI-BASE OXIDE SUPERCONDUCTOR FOR CURRENT LEAD AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To provide a superconducting current lead of Bi-base oxide with large critical current density by using a composite structure comprising a tape conductor of superconducting Bi-base oxide that overlaps a bulk conductor of superconducting Bi-base oxide. CONSTITUTION:A superconducting current lead (conductor A) has a composite structure, which comprises a bulk conductor 1 of superconducting Bi-base oxide and a tape conductor 2 of superconducting Bi-base oxide. The tape conductor is coated with noble metal, such as gold, silver or palladium, or an alloy of them. The tape conductor is attached to less than the half length of the bulk conductor and they are integrally joined by heat.
