摘要

PURPOSE:To provide the two-dimensional discrete cosine transformation device(DCT) which can reduce circuit scale by reducing the number of registers even when using serial data as input/output data. CONSTITUTION:Image data are serially inputted from an input terminal, for example, and successively transferred through selectors S1-S12 to registers R0-R11 in following steps. In this transfer process, the data are supplied through a bus 4 to prescribed computing elements AS1, AS2, ADD, SUB and MPY by control signals CS1-CS24 from a control circuit 6 and calculation is executed. The calculated results at the computing elements are outputted through the selectors S1-S12 and the bus 4 to the registers R1-R12 again and finally, the calculated results are serially outputted from an output terminal.
