PURPOSE: To accelerate the speed of responses to inquiry or the like from a terminal equipment by retrieving a local picture stored beforehand and synthesizing and displaying the local picture and change data. ;CONSTITUTION: A picture data compression part 1D compresses the change data from a change data extraction part 1B and local picture specifying data from a local picture specifying part 1C. A terminal equipment 1E outputs the compressed data from the picture data compression part 1D to the terminal equipment 2. A picture data input part 2A analyzes the compressed data from a terminal transmission part 1E and extracts the change data and the local picture specifying data. Further, a terminal control part 2C retrieves a local picture storage part 2D with the local picture specifying data from the picture data input part 2A as the keyword and extracts local picture data. Then, the terminal equipment 2C synthesizes the change data from the picture data input part 2A and the extracted local picture data and outputs them to a display part 2F as display data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
