PURPOSE: To prevent the artificial turf characteristic such as the bounding height of a tennis ball and hardness from being changed with the passage of time by scattering sand on the installed artificial turf, then compacting the artificial turf with a vibrating roller. ;CONSTITUTION: Artificial turf is installed on a foundation layer made of asphalt or cement directly or via a cushion layer. Polypropylene split yarns having the total denier of 10000D are planted on a polypropylene ground fabric, for example, to form turf leaves for use as artificial turf. Sand is scattered on the artificial turf. The sand having the grain size of 2mm or below is scattered at the rate of 34Kg per 1m² with a sand spreader, for example.
